Águeda, May 30, 2025MHS Group has taken a significant step toward the future of sustainable mobility by participating in the prestigious international event Present and Future of Two Wheels, organized by BIKiNNOVBike Value Innovation Center - Association, recently held in Portugal.

At the event, MHS Group unveiled the prototype of the Maria Bike, an innovative bicycle model that merges technology, design, and sustainability. Now in its final development stage, the prototype is ready to undergo the homologation process — the final step before its official market launch.

Purpose-Driven Innovation

The Maria Bike is the result of years of investment in research and development, aimed at delivering an efficient, eco-friendly urban mobility solution tailored to today’s environmental sustainability needs. According to company representatives, the model incorporates recyclable materials, silent electric propulsion, and a modular design that simplifies maintenance and upgrades — key features for the European market.

Gathering of Industry Leaders

The Present and Future of Two Wheels brought together manufacturers, experts, startups, and European institutional representatives from the two-wheel sector. The event served as a vital platform to discuss trends, regulations, and innovation strategies in the European mobility landscape. MHS Group’s participation reinforces Portugal’s role as a strategic hub in the development of sustainable mobility solutions.

“It was a great honor to represent our group at such a landmark event, to exchange ideas, and to learn about other projects that are also shaping the future of two-wheel mobility in Europe,” said Mário Henriques, CEO of MHS Group and head of the consortium.

Commitment to Sustainable Mobility

MHS Group’s initiative reflects the industry’s growing shift toward greener, urban-centric solutions. The Maria Bike is expected to make a significant contribution to this mission, further strengthening MHS Group’s position as a key player in the industrial and technological sectors related to bicycles and electric mobility.
